The Witkowski Lab is proud to announce that Clarissa Garcia, a third year-graduate student, has been selected by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) to receive the 2025 Hematology Inclusion Pathway (HIP) Graduate Student Award, part of ASH’s investment in hematology research and the next generation of hematology physicians and scientists.

The HIP Graduate Student Award, part of ASH’s HIP, strives to ensure that graduate students in hematology reflect and serve the greater population.

This award, which provides $40,000 in funding, will enable Clarissa to spend two years conducting basic, translational, outcomes-based, or patient-oriented clinical research, and promote their findings at the HIP Presentations and Reception event at the ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition.
